30 November 2008 No Comment

The 2008 Classic Motor Show was held at the INA Bearings car park on Sunday 17th August raising money for the Wales Air Ambulance
It was a cloudy day with only one short shower.
Sixty exhibits had turned up. The club was well represented with a MGB, Triumph TR6, 4 Kit cars, Ford Capri, Cortina Lotus, Mike Griffiths 2008 sprint championship winning Escort, Mel Davies Mitsubushi Lancer, a Toyota Celica GT4 and Ernie Beamish brought his Massey Ferguson tractor.
Some of the cars dated back to the early thirties.
While the motorcycles were from the 50s and 60s, the oldest tractor was a 1947 Fordson.
This year’s show managed to raise £1400 for the Wales Air Ambulance making a total of £7000 since 2001.
Many thanks to all our supporters, our sponsor Gary Thomas Plant Repairs and Schaeffler (UK) Ltd for the use of the car park.
