With a warm sun making a habit of hanging in blue skies it’s a great time to wheel out the classics for two great annual Gwendraeth valley motor club events, The Gwendraeth Tour and The Classic Motor Show. Taking place on consecutive weekends, firstly the tour taking in much of the Gwendraeth & Towy valley’s most spectacular drivers roads with the show giving all an opportunity to share the exploits a week later.

Friday the 17th of April saw 18-year-old Thomas Watson take to the road to tackle not only the third round of the Kick Energy Fiesta Sporting Trophy but also the second round of the BRC Challenge which is run in conjunction with the British Rally Championship. The rally would be held in the famous Kielder complex which is the largest man made forest in Europe. We’re getting far too clever for our own good here at Pembrey and will endeavour to keep a live report from Rali Cwm Gwendraeth 2009. It won’t be quite as good as actually being here, standing in a puddle getting rained on but loving the action as it gets all sideways in slippery conditions.

With but a week to wait until the action gets under way at Pembrey in the Rali Cwm Gwendraeth 2009 it’s been all go here at GVMC towers with preparations being finalised for what will be a great day’s rallying.
